Past

In 1960-70s socialistic Donbass is at the top of economical and industrial development. In this period more than 90 industrial enterprises were put into operation, the next was technological revolution. The culture of Donetsk region starts to develop actively. Vladimir Degtyaryov (1963-1976) becomes a leader of Donbass.

‘Druzhba’ hotel was founded in 1964. The hotel is oriented at service of representatives of scientific, cultural and theatre spheres. At that period outstanding cinema and theatre actors, artistic groups, famous guests, humorists, talking heads, prominent political persons and scientific figures were the clients of the hotel. They arrived in Donetsk from all republics of former USSR and Europe.
